This event is always hugely popular, and 2008 sees the return of all the well
loved poetry, drama and music that you have grown to expect over the years.
These include extracts from ‘Cider with Rosie’, Betjeman’s ‘Christmas’, an
evocative piece from ‘Oh! What a Lovely
War’, a funny Shirley Valentine account and a rendition of
‘The Tille Thekers’ Play’, an extract from the original York Mystery Plays.
Talented musicians will play beautiful music and everyone joins in with ‘Twelve
Days of Christmas'.
